Terms & Privacy
Welcome to Pincy! This Site is operated by pincy.com. Pincy is a place for people to share and showcase their images of art, design, ideas and products. Pincy respects the privacy of visitors regarding any information submitted while operating the website.
Personal Information We Collect
Certain visitors to the site choose to interact with Pincy in ways that require Pincy to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Pincy gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up at Pincy.com to provide a username and email address. Those who engage in transactions with Pincy are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. In each case, Pincy collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Pincy. Pincy does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
Non-Personal Information We Collect
Like most websites, the site collects non-personally-identifying information for web browsers and servers, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. The purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Pincy's visitors use the site.
Pincy also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged-in users and the users who leave comments on pincy.com. Pincy only discloses logged-in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the site where the comment was left.
Pincy may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its website. Pincy may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Pincy does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
Pincy discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Pincy’s behalf or to provide services available at Pincy’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using Pincy’s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Pincy will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, Pincyd discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when Pincy believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Pincy, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of Pincy website and have supplied your email address, Pincy may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Pincy and our products. If you send us a request (for example via email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Pincy takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information
Our Third-Party Service Providers
Several of our service providers who utilize cookies and other tracking technologies on our Site enable you to opt out of their internet-based advertising. Some of our digital advertising service providers are members of the Network Advertising Initiative or the Digital Advertising Alliance, each of which offer a single location to opt-out of certain ad targeting from member companies. To learn more about interest-based advertising generally as well as your options for opting out, please visit Network Advertising Initiative or About Ads. In addition, the Federal Trade Commission provides useful information about online privacy on its own website at FTC Privacy Site. Please keep in mind that even if you opt out of receiving ads tailored to your apparent interests, you will continue to see ads from online advertising networks. However, those networks will not be able to apply any of your apparent ad preferences and the ads that you see therefore may be less relevant to your interests.
Third Party Websites
We recommend that, if you have a ridiculous amount of free time (and nothing better to do), you review their privacy policies and other agreements governing your use of their website. Once you do, you should report back to us in a detailed and meticulously proofread memorandum explaining all of these websites, so we may immediately put it to use under that corner of the table that is lower than the rest.
California Online Privacy Protection Act
Under Section 1798.83 of the California Civil Code, California residents that have an existing business relationship with us may request information about our disclosure of certain categories of personal information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, email us with the subject heading “California Privacy Rights.” In your request, please confirm that you are a California resident and provide a current California address for our response.
Please be aware that not all information sharing is covered by the California privacy rights requirements and only information on covered sharing will be included in our response. This request may be made no more than once per calendar year. We reserve the right not to respond to requests submitted to addresses other than the email address specified in this section.
